There is a huge space for the heroes in Tamil cinema but heroines falls in a jinx and very few come across the barriers. The makers have to really find a spot for them in their scripts to develop huge response from the viewers.
Gemini Ganeshanum Surulirajanum, as the name suggests, provides space for the hero to exhibit his talent. We have seen Athravaa picking films based on action. This is the very first time he is been committed for a rom-com, and it fits him perfectly. He has done justification for the role, there are four heroines and all of them fall flat for Atharvaa’s gesture and smartness.
Atharvaa starts to Madurai planning to invite his Ex- girlfriends for his wedding. He invites Regina Cassandra and Aditi for his marriage with the help of Soori. A template comedy from Soori and a very often viewed screenplay and a presentation with not much to explore makes the first half a tough route.
A romantic comedy is always a cat on the wall in Tamil cinema but still it can be done better with excess scope and cast. Athrarvaa as a playboy who falls in love with almost all girls meets the consequences this generation guy faces and stays away from being physical intimation. His gestures and smartness are overloaded and sometimes he gets very predictable and sometimes makes it moving.
While there are four heroines, we remember each one played their role to the expectation while Regina and Pranita have done glamorous roles and Aishwarya Rajesh appears in the homely attire.
Out of all these, the movie is certainly seated for time pass and not much with expectations Gemini Ganesanum Surulirajanum could pass on the weekend. D Imman ticks it with passable songs and good background score.
Overall the first half is slower and the second half lacks the content that makes it a little longer version of the first half and some more realistic making could have saved the romantic part. Never mind for almost nobody could expect a message from a rom-com, but the director sticks to title and keeps the fun fulfilled.
